Open Door Fellowship (ODF) came into being as a local body of Christian believers in the Kouts, Indiana area in September of 1995. Most of the initial members, including the first elders and pastor, had come from a Mennonite denominational background. Common ideals and visions also brought in many others from various backgrounds and locals. These visions included worship, small group meetings, and the general love and reverence for Jesus. All were committed to learn more of the Word of God, and desired to seek all that God, through his Holy Spirit, would have for every one of us.

Today, Open Door Fellowship has members of all ages, and from various professional, ethnic, and regional backgrounds. We are still a “small community church”, with big ideas for reaching out to our community.
