SMALL GROUPS
Here at ODF we believe that true spiritual growth is maintained and encouraged through small groups. We believe that there should be groups for people who are at all kinds of different places in their spiritual journey. Small groups are a great place to get more connected here at ODF and an excellent source of encouragement and discipleship.
A “small group” is just that. A small group of people who gather together in their homes to serve one another and share the love of Jesus Christ with others. As in the early church described in the New Testament, people met “together in the temple courts and broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”. Our small groups meet together in various homes and times throughout the community. It is in the more “personal” atmosphere of the home that members spur each other on in worship, spiritual growth, edification, and in reaching out to serve others not yet following Jesus.
We have many groups that meet throughout the week, and almost all of them are open to new people at any time. If you would like more information, please contact us.
We encourage the following dynamics to be a part of each group.
-
Relational Growth: Getting to know one another while also seeking to build relationships with those who are not yet following Jesus.
-
Worship: to focus on and praise our Heavenly Father.
-
Edification: Ministering to and encouraging one another to use his/her God given gifts.
-
Equipping: To lay a solid foundation for spiritual growth and service to Jesus.
-
Accountability: To encourage one another in our spiritual maturity, growth, and in our relationships.
Ask about all of our Small Groups:
What they are all about,
Where they meet,
When they meet – day of the week and time,
Who to contact.
